Yet another bragging right for Mauritius

One would think that all the corruption overflowing on the island would have some international impact.
Yes it did. We climbed up ( or fell down) a couple of rungs. We are now 41 in the world in the CPI table. CPI is the Corruption Perception Index, which is measured by a worldwide organization called Transparency International (TI).
So if you are ever want to visit Mauritius, here is a tip for you. Try to enjoy being a tourist without getting scammed.
A Mauritian should not be surprised in the least by the comment made by them "The Mauritian government's refusal, however, to allow an independent investigation into recent allegations of continued high-levels of corruption in the customs, does not abode well for the future fight against corruption in the country." One should know who is at fault here for the prolific spread of this disease in our community.

The definition of Corruption according to TI:
Corruption is the abuse of entrusted power for private gain. It hurts everyone whose life, livelihood or happiness depends on the integrity of people in a position of authority.

Another stupid way to put Mauritius on the Map

From the last post, most things have gone south. Apparently, another issue that no one seem to care to address is the position of the child in the family.

1. Children are a heritage from the Lord, not a piece of furniture to trade. Those who abuse children will not be held guiltless.
2. Children are the future of Mauritius, if nothing is done, wait nothing is being done. Where is the future of Mauritius
3. Children have rights to be brought up in a cordial and loving home, not a home of violence and ill-treatment.
4. Children are innocent and need to be taught the difference between right and wrong till they can decide for themselves. Those who teach them evil, will suffer the consequences.
5. Children are to be loved and cherished and protected, not to be used and abused in any way or form.
